El Curso Interdisciplinario de DD.HH permitirá a los y las estudiantes desarrollar las competencias requeridas para conocer, comprender y valorar los DD.HH en todas sus expresiones, respetando la diversidad y aplicando las normas nacionales e internacionales. Se pretende aportar a una formación integral de carácter interdisciplinaria con el conocimiento de los DD.HH que concilie elementos teóricos, una perspectiva valórica y diversos instrumentos metodológicos, destinados a promover y fortalecer por parte de los y las estudiantes, el reconocimiento y aplicación de estos derechos en el servicio de las profesiones en que se están formando y del sentido de su propia realización como personas.

Arte de los Indígenas Chilenos

Course Description

El curso realizará un recorrido general de las manifestaciones artísticas de los grupos indígenas en Chile, estableciendo relaciones entre las artes y los modos de vida de las diversas culturas que habitaron y habitan el territorio nacional. A través de un recorrido diacrónico se estudiarán a las culturas Fueguinas, Mapuche y Andinas y sus formas representacionales, así como también los modos en que estas han sido comprendidas por los paradigmas occidentales.

Course Description

El curso busca concientizar y transmitir conocimientos fundamentales sobre la crisis socioambiental y sus potenciales vías de solución a escala global y local. Para esto se ofrecerá una visión crítica e interdisciplinaria de las distintas dimensiones que abarca la sustentabilidad. El curso contempla charlas magistrales dictadas por expertos de diversas disciplinas, círculos de aprendizaje, memorandos de lectura y análisis crítico de los contenidos vistos en clase y el desarrollo de un proyecto grupal que consiste en desarrollar una producto comunicacional para informar y concientizar a la ciudadanía sobre temática relacionada con la sustentabilidad.

Course Description

This course corresponds to an elementary level A1 of Spanish according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In this course the student will be able to understand and use everyday expressions and simple phrases aimed at satisfying immediate type needs. The student will learn how to establish basic interaction in Spanish while learning relevant aspects of the Chilean culture which will be discussed during the class, from an intercultural perspective.

Survival Spanish for Beginners - A2

Course Description

This course corresponds to a basic level - A2 of Spanish according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in this course the student will be able to understand frequently used phrases and expressions related to areas of expertise that are especially relevant. The student will learn structures and vocabulary to communicate in simple and direct exchanges on familiar or familiar issues. S/he will learn to describe in simple terms aspects of their past and their environment, through the discussion of relevant aspects of the Chilean culture.

Spanish for specific purposes: ecology and culture level B1

Course Description

This is a course of Spanish as a foreign language that corresponds to an intermediate level B1 of Spanish in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This course promotes the learning of Spanish combined with environmental and cultural studies specially focused on Mapuche culture. Cosmología y Arquitectural Oriental

Course Description

Este curso desea desentrañar en qué medida las obras de carácter religioso son reflejo de las cosmologías y cosmogonías de los pueblos que las crearon. Quiere explicar el sentido que adquiere el cosmos para los pueblos antiguos, como reflejo del orden divino y cómo el hombre, siendo un “pequeño dios", tiende a imitar esta obra (Imago Mundi).

Estética del arte tradicional japonés

Course Description

Este curso intenta aproximar al alumno al nacimiento y desarrollo de los principios estéticos japoneses, producto de la influencia de personajes que fueron desarrollando su sensibilidad profundizando un determinado camino religioso. Esta sensibilidad se expresó en las artes japonesas, pero también traspasó las barreras de la doctrina para instalarse en la vida diaria, originando un modo estético de habitar el mundo y una estética de la cotidianidad. Lo relevante, es que la aproximación a la cultura tradicional japonesa nos mostrará que la educación estética fue valorada en cuanto se consideraba parte de la formación integral de las personas, así como un modo de adquirir sabiduría.

Promoción, Prevención y Recuperación del Sueño

Course Description

El curso entrega a los estudiantes la posibilidad de profundizar en el área del sueño como una necesidad vital y universal, con enfoque de autocuidado.  Proporciona algunas herramientas necesarias para evaluar y aplicar medidas a través del ciclo vital en la promoción, prevención y/o cuidados para mantener o recuperar el patrón normal de sueño. Permite reconocer los indicadores de alteración del sueño y posibles instancias de ayuda u orientación. Asimismo, permitirá al estudiante autoevaluarse y realizar acciones tendientes a mejorar su calidad de sueño.

Intercultural Health

 
Course Description
 
The course offers conceptual and empirical elements from the social sciences to embed the health-disease processes in a complex ociocultural environment. A plural vision of medicine and its history is offered, considering different medical systems and delving into traditional Mapuche medicine and its worldview. The tensions and exchanges between globalization processes and local practices and identities are analyzed, and the intercultural approach is presented as an analytical perspective and practical strategy within health systems.
